A show that brings beach glass enthusiasts and art appreciators together is returning to the Bayfront Convention Center at 1 Sassafras Pier on Oct. 11-12.
The Great Lakes Beach Glass and Coastal Arts Festival was created in Erie in 2013 by Jen Reed, a founding member of the North American Sea Glass Association. After the North American Sea Glass Association brought one of its shows to Erie in 2009, Reed saw a need for a regular event in Erie and created the Great Lakes Beach Glass and Coastal Arts Festival.
Reed eventually stepped down from the festival operations and now Melody Shiflet, owner of Ashtabula Harbor Beach Glass Festival in Ashtabula, Ohio, runs the show…
