I really enjoy taking a trip to Chautauqua County, New York to find a great place to eat. Over the years, I’ve had fish, pancakes and sausage, steak, chicken wings, and rigatoni. I am now outside a restaurant in Ellery Center. I don’t know what I’m going to order at this restaurant. But I really love the name. Ellery Country Cow.
The name definitely fits. There are cows everywhere you look inside this restaurant. Cow knick knacks. Cow artwork. There’s a pattern of cow spots painted on the ceiling. Cows. Cows. Cows. Gretchen Palmieri is the owner of the restaurant. She has made the Ellery Country Cow a fun place for families since it opened in 1993.
“Because I want them to remember the place,” she says. “And the kids remember the place. Oh, we want to go to the place, you know, the one that’s got all the cows. Yeah, and they enjoy it.”…
