Fall foliage in parts of Chautauqua County has surpassed the halfway point of color change, while other parts of the western Southern Tier are nearing peak conditions. That’s according to this week’s I Love NY Fall Foliage Report. In Chautauqua County, there are reports of 60% color change at Chautauqua Institution with bright to brilliant shades of yellow, orange and red. Over in Cattaraugus County, there’s 55% or more and near-peak to peak conditions at Allegany State Park near Salamanca. And in Little Valley, there’s 85% transition and peak conditions with yellow leaves, along with some orange and brown, and significant droppage.
