Erie County announces Crosswinds Recovery House

Erie County is opening a new recovery house on the city’s west side.

It’s called the Crosswinds Recovery House, which will provide a safe living environment to support long-term recovery.

The house is an eight-person, male, substance use treatment facility.

The Erie County Office of Drug and Alcohol Abuse is partnering with Pyramid Healthcare, an organization that provides behavioral health treatment, for this project.

“Secure and stable housing is one of the biggest pieces that are missing in early recovery, and that’s generally what this provides,” said Scott Coughenour, director of the Erie County Office of Drug and Alcohol Abuse. “We push in treatment, outpatient therapy modalities as needed, but once again, every client will need a different level of care. What this, the primary goal of this, is to provide that stable housing.”…
