Spot-nosed guenon monkey gives birth at Erie Zoo

Exciting news for the Erie Zoo this week: the stork delivered a new baby.

A spot-nosed guenon monkey named Georgia recently delivered her first baby on Wednesday, October 8.

Erie Zoo blends local brews, animal tours, and community fun

Staff told us all about the exciting addition to Erie Zoo.

Hali Hartley, Lead Manager of Marketing and Public Relations, said, “So we had expected that Georgia was pregnant and the keepers have been doing a great job keeping an eye on her, monitoring her, and when they came in on Wednesday morning, they noticed that she had the baby. So it was a nice surprise.”
