There are plans to replace a bridge in McKean Township.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) wants the public’s input on a plan to replace the bridge located on Dunn Valley Road (Route 4013), between Oliver Road and Hamot Road/Elk Creek Road. The bridge runs over Elk Creek.
New Speed Check coming to Summit Township this winter
The project, which is expected to take place during the 2027 construction season, aims to replace the steel bridge with a concrete bridge. The current bridge was built in 1955 and is classified as being in poor condition. There are expected to be detours for about four months.
