Hanover Woman Charged After Allegedly Violating Order of Protection and Taking Dog

(WNY News Now) – Deputies responded early Thursday morning to a report of a disorderly person in Hanover, leading to the arrest of a 36-year-old woman accused of theft and violating an order of protection.

HANOVER, NY — On October 30, 2025, at approximately 3:36 a.m., Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a report of a disorderly person at a residence in the Town of Hanover.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, an investigation determined that Jaralyn E. Majak, 36, of Silver Creek, allegedly took another person’s dog and refused to return it. Deputies also discovered that Majak had violated a valid refrain-from order of protection and allegedly spat at the individual involved in the incident…
