MHA Recognizes Outstanding Volunteer, Announces Hat and Glove Drive

The Mental Health Association in Chautauqua County (MHA) recognized an outstanding volunteer who was responsible for its recent art show in Dunkirk. During MHA’s October luncheon, Executive Director Michael Nordin gave special recognition to Wing, who facilitates the Art in Recovery group on Wednesdays at 11:00 AM at MHA’s north county recovery center. Dunkirk’s art show also included pieces from the Jamestown group that meets on Wednesdays at 2:00 PM. Both the Dunkirk event and the September show in Jamestown were made possible in part by support from the United Arts Appeal of Chautauqua County Projects Pool Grants Program.

Meanwhile, with the approach of cold weather, the MHA is conducting a hat and glove drive through Thursday, November 20th. Donations of new hats and gloves for men or women at the Jamestown location between 9:30 AM and 4:30 PM Monday through Friday; MHA requests no children’s items or other clothing.
