A propane heater was the apparent cause of an early morning blaze that destroyed a house in the Town of Arkwright on Sunday. The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office says Forestville Fire and several mutual aid departments were called to 8996 Park Road at about 5:45 AM. After the flames were extinguished, the county’s Fire Investigation Team determined that the blaze originated in the living room of the house, adding that the propane heater was in close proximity to combustible materials.
