An investigation into a one-vehicle crash that caused significant property damage in Findley Lake early Saturday led to the arrest of an Oil City, Pennsylvania man. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene on Main Street shortly after 3:45 AM, with the driver fleeing the scene on foot. 23-year-old Austin Snyder was located about two hours later by K-9 Seven and was taken into custody. Further investigation found that Snyder was allegedly intoxicated. According to the Findley Lake Fire Department, no serious injuries were reported from the incident. Snyder was charged with DWI, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, speed not reasonable and prudent, and moving from lane unsafely.
