The Erie County Coroner’s Office has ruled that a 25-year-old inmate from Philadelphia died of asphyxiation at the State Correctional Institution at Albion Oct. 29.
Coroner Lyell Cook ruled the death a homicide following an autopsy on the victim on Oct. 31. No additional details in the death have been released, and no criminal charges had been filed in the case as of Nov. 3, according to court records.
