Communities across Erie County will soon be celebrating veterans with banners across the town.
Announced during a press conference at the Intermodal Transportation Center on Monday, the banners will be hung on street poles throughout Erie and Millcreek as a way to celebrate veterans of both the past and present.

Erie and Millcreek will be joining other nearby communities, such as North East, Union City and Wesleyville, as those that honor veterans with banners.
Joe Benacci, director of Erie County Veterans Services, said that they were able to do this with the help of the community wanting to honor their hometown veterans.
