The Lawrence Park Historical Society received a $250 Loving Giving Local donation from Auto Express this week, aiding their efforts to preserve the community’s rich history.
The donation will help the society update its computer system, allowing them to share more historical information online. The society, located in the township building on Main St., has been collecting memorabilia since its founding after the nation’s bicentennial in 1976.
“We sometimes refer to ourselves as the attic of the community,” said Annamae Van Dyne, Historical Society President. “People started to give us their memories, pictures, photographs, and memorabilia.”…
