It’s been more than 140 days since a state parole agent shot and killed Marchello Woodard, but the community still isn’t giving up their fight for justice.
Thursday, protestors gathered outside the Erie County Courthouse, waving signs and chanting “Justice for Chello, we won’t settle.”

The district attorney’s office hasn’t provided an update on the investigation since the end of August, but protestors aren’t giving up on their search for answers.
“It’s way too long. That should have been an open and shut case in the first place. Those officers should not be out working or anything else,” said Brenda Spears, a Justice for Chello protestor.
