(WJET/WFXP)– The Michigan man accused of kidnapping his daughter from the Millcreek home she shared with her mother has had all criminal dropped, though prosecutors said they plan to refile.
According to Assistant Erie County District Attorney Hillary Hoffman, those charges against 39-year-old Jafar Almaarej, of Dearborn, Michigan, were dropped after the girl’s mother did not show up for court.

Almaarej was facing one count each of felony kidnapping and interference with custody of children and misdemeanor terroristic threats.
