The Erie Contemporary Ballet Theatre performed alongside a live orchestra for the iconic Christmas story of “The Nutcracker.”
“The Nutcracker” is a classic ballet beloved for generations, and the artistic director of this production, Sarah Purvis, said that the performance will create lifelong memories for everyone involved.

It took three months of rehearsals to prepare and Purvis said that they are beyond excited to show off their hard work.
Sarah Purvis, Erie Contemporary Ballet Theatre Artistic Director, said, “It’s some of the most iconic pieces of music performed. Especially when you hear it live, it just takes you back to this nostalgia era of your life, whether you’re a kid or you’re a kid at heart. This is a wonderful family event that’s a holiday classic, that kicks off the season, and it’s our Christmas card to the community.”…
