Erie man confessed to downtown hit-and-run: police

We have new information about a late November hit-and-run that injured three pedestrians.

According to a criminal complaint, Davine Warren admitted to striking two women in a crosswalk on West 11th Street on November 21.

The complaint said Warren briefly got out of his car and said “I’m sorry,” before taking off. A third person tried to stop the vehicle but was also injured in the process.

Police said Warren stated that he could not see the roadway because of a defrost issue and that he fled the scene because he had a suspended license.
