The Pennsylvania State Police Troop E – Erie is investigating a case of Theft of Funds and Access Device Fraud involving Northwest Bank, located at 2863 West 26th Street, Erie County.
According to authorities, the victim reported that while using an ATM, she discovered her account balance had dropped to only a few hundred dollars, with $16,000 missing. Investigators determined that a female suspect used the victim’s name, account number, and a passport card to withdraw the funds before leaving in an unknown direction.
