Navigating the bustling halls of high school can be intimidating for incoming students. To help ease this transition and build a stronger sense of community, Cathedral Prep has implemented its Freshmen Mentoring Program, connecting its newest students with experienced upperclassmen who act as guides, confidantes, and friendly faces.
Freshmen are paired with either a junior or senior mentor. These mentors meet regularly with their groups of freshmen, offering advice on everything from academic challenges and study tips to extracurricular activities, social dynamics, and navigating the school’s unique traditions. Their goal is to provide a peer-to-peer support system that complements the guidance offered by faculty and staff.
