(WJET/WFXP)– New 15-minute vision testing kiosks will be coming to Walmart and Sam’s Club locations in select cities, including two locations in Erie County, the company announced Thursday.
Walmart said the new Eyebot automated vision testing kiosks will be able to offer prescriptions to customers in about 15 minutes, with no appointment or insurance necessary, as part of a new pilot program.

The new kiosks will be coming to the Erie Walmarts located on West Ridge Road and Edinboro, along with the Hermitage Walmart in Mercer County. There will also be one at the Erie Sam’s Club.
Walmart said the results of the scans are sent to a licensed, independent eye doctor for prescription review at a cost of $25 for Walmart customers and free for Sam’s Club members, with the service being included in their membership fees…
