(WJET/WFXP)– We have an unfortunate update on Olive the cat, who was rescued by a good Samaritan and brought to the Erie Humane Society earlier this week, suffering from severe illness and frostbite.
The Humane Society said Olive died after her health took a turn for the worse on Thursday, after a promising first couple of days and receiving extensive care from their staff.

Olive was described as “a true hot mess” who was skin and bone while suffering from an upper respiratory infection and showing signs of frostbite by the Humane Society.
“Although her outcome wasn’t what we all hoped for, we take comfort in knowing that Olive’s final days were spent wrapped in warmth, gentleness, and love—something she had likely gone far too long without,” they said…
