Jamestown man sentenced for raid that uncovered 12 oz. of meth

(WJET/WFXP)– A Jamestown, NY man has been handed his sentence after pleading guilty to felony drug charges brought against him following a 12 oz. meth bust in March.

Judge David Foley sentenced 60-year-old Kevin Raymond of Jamestown to 10 years in prison, followed by three years of supervised release, Chautauqua County District Attorney Jason Schmidt announced Monday.

Raymond was arrested for this case on March 13 after police found 350.6 grams (12.36 oz.) of meth, 16.4 grams of fentanyl, scales and packaging materials, a stolen .22 caliber handgun and $93 in cash in the home where Raymond was.

That arrest led to him being indicted on second and third-degree felony drug possession charges in April by a Chautauqua County Grand Jury.

Raymond pleaded guilty to felony drug possession in September and was originally going to serve five years in prison as per the deal, but according to DA Schmidt, Raymond was arrested again in October on felony drug charges.
