(WJET/WFXP)– Several of Erie County’s municipalities and other organizations received a boost in funding Thursday, with more than $5 million in grant money being awarded for different projects in the area.
State-level elected officials from around Erie County announced the funding Monday in the form of Local Share Account grants to pay for infrastructure, public safety and community development projects.

“These investments reflect our commitment to improving the quality of life for residents throughout Erie County,” said Senator Dan Laughlin. “From clean water access and public safety upgrades to economic development and recreational improvements, these projects will have a lasting impact on our communities.”
