County Medic Injured After Plow Strikes Ambulance in Gerry

A county medic suffered minor injuries in an early morning collision between an ambulance and a plow in Gerry on Saturday. The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office says a Falconer Fire Department ambulance was transporting a patient and a county medic to UPMC Chautauqua shortly after 4:30 AM, when the vehicle was backed into by a plow clearing the Gerry Rodeo Grounds. The medic, a 44-year-old man from Jamestown, got struck by a piece of equipment in the ambulance when the collision occurred and sought medical attention at UPMC Chautauqua.
