According to Doctor Donald Yealy, Chief Medical Officer at UPMC, there have been an uprise of respiratory virus cases at the UPMC facilities throughout the last few weeks.
The viruses include influenza, COVID-19 and RSV. It has been found that a majority of these cases have been influenza.
The cases have been at either end of the age spectrum including young children and elderly adults. Those with underlying conditions that affect organ function have also had an influx of cases…
