(WJET/WFXP) — The Chautauqua County man accused of shaking and fatally injuring a baby in April of 2024 is now facing up to 25 years in prison after pleading guilty.
The Chautauqua County District Attorney’s Office announced 28-year-old Sean Thomas of Jamestown pleaded guilty in Chautauqua County Court to first-degree manslaughter in connection with the death of 8-month-old Aniyah Turk.

Police said Thomas shook and strangled Turk on April 23, 2024, who was taken to UPMC Chautauqua, then an out-of-town hospital, before succumbing to her injuries.
He’s set to be sentenced on February 23, with Chautauqua County District Attorney Jason Schmidt adding that Thomas likely faces 20 years in prison followed by five years of supervised release…
