At the end of 2026, Corry Federal Credit Union (CFCU) — which has a branch at 315 Main St., no matter what Google says — took nominations from the community to give $1,000 donations to five local nonprofits. One of the recipients was Spartansburg Community Foundation (SCF).
On Dec. 18, David Schwabenbauer, CFCU marketing and community outreach manager, presented a check to Laurie Patterson, president of SCF.
“I can’t tell you how excited our group is to have been one of the recipients,” Patterson said. “I was completely astonished and deeply humbled. With this incredible donation, we can now move forward with the bead board for our interior walls in the main area of SCF Hall, formerly the Spartansburg Grange building.”…
