Update: Winter weather advisory issued for Southern Erie for Sunday and Monday – possibly 5 inches of snow

On Saturday at 8:09 p.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated winter weather advisory valid from Sunday 11 a.m. until Monday 1 a.m. for Southern Erie.

“Total snow accumulations between 3 and 5 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph,” can be expected according to the weather service. “Wind chills will fall into the teens with blustery conditions.”

“Plan on slippery conditions with slower travel likely,” explains the weather service. “Slow down and use caution while traveling. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission strongly encourage motorists to heed all travel restrictions and delay unnecessary travel.”
