Jamestown Man Arrested After Fleeing from Stockton Traffic Stop

A Jamestown man faces a slew of charges after he allegedly fled the scene of a traffic stop in the Town of Stockton early Sunday. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies say a vehicle committed an infraction just before 2:30 AM and fled while they were initiating the stop. The driver, later identified as 46-year-old Eric Johnson, was arrested on charges of DWI, 3rd-degree unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, failure to comply with a lawful order, reckless driving, speeding in a 55 MPH zone, failure to stop at a stop sign, improper or unsafe turn without a signal, and failure to keep right. Johnson will answer the charges in Stockton Town Court at a later date…
