Recusal alters Marchello Woodard case. New magistrate called in

The unique circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting of parolee Marchello D. Woodard have prompted an Erie magistrate to step away from the case.

Erie 5th Ward District Judge Paul Bizzarro has recused himself, citing his law enforcement background as a former Erie police officer, Bizzarro said.
