A winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 7:24 a.m. in effect until Monday at 1 a.m. for Northern Erie and Crawford County.
The weather service states to anticipate, “Snow accumulations between 1 and 3 inches with a heavy snow band this morning and an additional 1 to 3 inches this afternoon for a storm total of 2 to 5 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.”
“Plan on slippery road conditions with slower travel likely,” describes the weather service. “Slow down and use caution while traveling. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission strongly encourage motorists to heed all travel restrictions and delay unnecessary travel.”
