The recent thaw and upcoming cold temperatures could make for some dangerous water and ice conditions.
It can be a scary feeling to be walking on ice one moment and then falling in the next, which is why proper training from rescuers is important.
Greg Summerson, with the Lake City Fire Company said, “There’s more than one way to train and more than one way to rescue people so making sure that we all have the basic idea to rescue people and make sure those skills are staying sharp are why we are out here.”
