(WJET/WFXP)– PennDOT closed two sections of Interstate 79 on Thursday, one in Erie County and the other in Mercer County, due to two crashes late Thursday morning.
PennDOT closed I-79 northbound near Exit 174 in McKean Township with 511PA showing a multi-vehicle crash, though the roadway has since been reopened, according to Erie County 911.
Speed limits reduced on all NWPA interstates Thursday
I-79 north and southbound in Mercer County from the Interstate 80 interchange to Exit 130 (Route 358, Greenville/Sandy Lake) is also closed.
