The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory at 1:45 a.m. on Wednesday valid from noon until Thursday 7 a.m. for Northern Erie and Southern Erie as well as Niagara, Orleans, Genesee, Wyoming, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and Allegany counties.
The weather service says to be ready for, “Total snow accumulations 2 to 5 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph will cause blowing and drifting snow.”
“Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will impact the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes,” states the weather service. “Periods of snow will result in snow covered roads and limited visibilities. Slow down and use caution while driving.”
