First responders put on standby after plane’s flaps malfunction coming to Erie airport

A scary situation for passengers on their way to erie this morning after a plane struggled to land.

Tensions were high at the airport as distress calls came in from a pilot aboard an American Airlines plane coming in from Charlotte.

“We were scheduled a fly out, we have a connecting flight this afternoon in Charlotte to Miami, but then they came on and said it was a delay and then finally they came in and said, start talking about rebooking flights,” said Mark Haeck, an Erie International Airport guest.
