The IAMAW Union members are approaching the two-week mark of their strike outside Parker Lord’s Erie facility and they may soon find support from county leaders, who have drafted a resolution backing IAMAW Local 1211.
Erie County Council members Rock Copeland and Jim Wertz introduced a resolution titled “In Support for the Workers of IAMAW Local 1211” during Thursday night’s finance meeting. The vote on this resolution is set to take place next Tuesday.
Wertz, a member of the county council, expressed the intention behind the resolution: “The hope with this resolution is just to exhibit our support of workers as we would across Erie County both union and non-union and to encourage negotiation back at the table there between the members of Local 1211 and the folks at Lord.”…
