Jamestown NY Airport to Welcome Archie’s Airport Diner

Archie’s Airport Diner will soon be a new staple at Chautauqua County’s Jamestown New York Airport. The diner will open in March and will be a destination for full-service breakfast and lunch.

Archie’s has inspiration from Family, Food, and Flight according to the owner Matthew Newton. Dating back to the 1920’ the Newton family has had a long-standing history with aviation.

His great grandfather Archie Sr. had been a WACO plane dealer and owned a flight school in Falconer Field. Matt’s grandfather Archie Jr. had received his piloting license in 1940 from the Jamestown airport where he became a pilot for Pan Am. Later he joined the war effort and flew over 100 sorties while encountering dangerous conditions. Douglas, Matt’s father joined the Airforce and focused on keeping the planes maintained and airborne ready…
