The Chautauqua County Health Department has issued a boil water order and a mandatory water conservation order for all Fredonia water system customers until further notice. The order was issued early Friday evening after a water main break that originated in the area of Temple Street and Central Avenue earlier in the day caused substantial water loss in the system. Ferguson says after several hours, crews found that the break on Temple was actually closer to Brigham Road.
