An extreme cold watch was released by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 1:12 a.m. valid for Saturday between 1 a.m. and noon for Northern Erie and Southern Erie as well as Crawford County.
The weather service says, “Dangerously cold wind chills as low as -20 degrees to -30 degrees possible.”
“These cold wind chills will cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes,” explains the weather service. “Dress in layers, including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must go outside.”
