(WJET/WFXP)– The Detroit man accused of firing several rounds into an occupied car on the city’s east side in March 2025 has been found guilty by an Erie County jury.
The Erie County District Attorney’s Office announced 52-year-old Aaron Thomas of Detroit, Michigan, was convicted of attempted homicide, aggravated assault and weapons charges for that shooting near the intersection of East 13th and Parade Streets.

Thomas was accused of firing five shots during an incident where police said two vehicles pulled up to the stop sign, with one suspect getting out of their car and shooting five rounds at the other car.
