On Jan. 29, 2026, a special Mass was held at Saint Peter’s Cathedral in celebration of Catholic Schools Week. Students, faculty, and staff of Cathedral Preparatory School gathered to honor Bishop Persico.
As Mass began, the atmosphere was filled with a sense of reverence and gratitude. Bishop Persico, who has dedicated his life to serving God and the Church, delivered a message that touched the hearts of everyone. He said, “At the age of 75, a Bishop must send his resignation letter to the Pope.
