Teen girl, 17, dies from injuries days after Mifflin County crash, police say

MIFFLIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A 17-year-old girl has died days after she was flown to the hospital from a wreck in Union Township, police announced Friday.

The crash happened around 11:18 p.m. Jan. 30 in the area of State Route 655 and Kanagy Road, according to a release from the Mifflin County Regional Police Department. Officers were called to the scene after the Mifflin County Communications Center received an iPhone crash detection.

Once on scene, police found that the vehicle had been driving south on Rt. 655 when it crossed into oncoming traffic lanes, left the road, hit a ditch and struck a concrete barrier at the entrance to L.M. Aumiller’s small engine shop…
