The month of February is kicking off with higher gas prices nationwide, while the average price at the pump locally continues to go down. According to AAA, the average price per gallon on Monday is $2.90, which is up nearly three cents from a week ago. New York State saw its average hold steady at $2.99. And Chautauqua County’s average fell by just over three cents to $3.14. One year ago, the national and statewide averages were $3.14 and $3.18, respectively.
