Chautauqua County Restaurants Health Inspections Results

In case you missed it, each month, health code inspectors in Chautauqua County visit restaurants and other establishments that prepare food. Health inspectors visit businesses that prepare and serve food, including restaurants, daycares, hotels, caterers, and even fire stations.

They thoroughly review each of the restaurant’s operations to make sure they are not violating any health codes. Health code inspections reveal non-critical violations such as “Wiping cloths dirty, not stored properly in sanitizing solutions,” and “Food contact surfaces not washed, rinsed and sanitized after each use and following any time of operations when contamination may have occurred.”

Some restaurants get flagged for critical violations, such as “Potentially hazardous foods are not kept at or above 140 degrees during hot holding.”…
