Officials have released the official cause of a major structure fire in the 1200 block of West 12th Street in December that left smoke towering over Millcreek Township.
According to Millcreek police, the fire was accidental in nature and was caused by welding work being done on a vehicle the afternoon of December 27 and has been under investigation since.

A portion of West 12th Street between Selinger and Filmore Avenues had to be shut down for almost nine hours as crews battled the blaze that had a smoke stack visible for miles.
