Erie police suspect a roving band of thieves are responsible for a series of vehicle break-ins in areas on the city’s south end late Feb. 13 and early Feb. 14.
A number of vehicles were entered and a variety of items were taken, but an exact amount was unknown Feb. 16 as officers were still taking reports, Erie police Deputy Chief Ken Kensill said.
