A Lakewood woman has been charged under New York Ag & Markets Law after she allegedly abandoned three cats at the Chautauqua County Humane Society. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the facility on Strunk Road in the Town of Ellicott last Wednesday and spoke with staff members who had discovered the felines outside the building. Their investigation found that 41-year-old Tina Holland had allegedly put two of the cats inside a cardboard box and duct-taped it shut, then placed the third cat into a cat carrier backpack before leaving them all at the rear entrance after hours. The Sheriff’s Office says CCHS employees were on site attending to another emergency fand found the animals as they were leaving for the evening. All three cats were brought inside for evaluation…..
