GIRARD — A Crawford County woman is facing felony assault charges after the Pennsylvania State Police accused her of stabbing an Erie County man in a reported dispute over dogs.
State police filed two felony counts of aggravated assault, along with misdemeanor counts of simple assault and possessing an instrument of crime, against 24-year-old Emily A. McBeth, of Saegertown, in an incident in Cranesville on the evening of Feb. 18.
According to state police in Girard, McBeth and a 56-year-old West Springfield man had reportedly gotten into an argument at a John Williams Avenue apartment over the care of the man’s dogs. The two reportedly began pushing each other until investigators charge that McBeth grabbed a pocketknife and stabbed the man twice, state police reported in a news release Feb. 19…
