City of Jamestown to Receive $1.6 Million in Financial Assistance from NYS

New York State will allocate $150 million in financial assistance in its tentative 2026-2027 budget for municipalities outside New York City that are dealing with immediate fiscal stress, and that includes one in Chautauqua County. Governor Kathy Hochul announced Thursday that the City of Jamestown will receive $1.6 million in Temporary Municipal Assistance. The program provides general purpose aid for local governments.
