NY weather update: Wind advisory for Chautauqua County until Friday night – gusts to hit 50 mph

The National Weather Service released an updated wind advisory at 1:25 p.m. on Friday in effect until 11 p.m. for Chautauqua County.

The weather service adds to anticipate, “Southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” states the weather service. “Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.”
